Nanci Williams, LMT

0F4D2EF2-DC6D-4311-8E37-9055D9882755Nanci Williams, L.M.T. has intensely studied multi-cultural and allopathic approaches to health, health-science, wellness, nutrition and exercise since 2001, and has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2008. During her studies at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, where she entered with the intention of becoming an acupuncturist and herbalist, she discovered touch therapy via Shiatsu and Tuina massage. These approaches to healing resonated with her in such a way that she decided to focus on massage as her sole health care practice. She graduated from East West College of the Healing Arts in 2008 after completing their 801-hour program, including training in Deep Tissue, Shiatsu and Trigger Point Therapy.

Nanci currently has over 800 hours post-graduate continuing education in the fields of:

  • Holistic Pelvic Care™
  • Qigong Qi Dao
  • Pregnancy massage
  • Relaxation massage and guided meditation
  • Hand and foot reflexology
  • Orthopedic massage
  • Abdominal and organ massage
  • Lymphatic drainage for stage I and II
  • TMJ syndrome bodywork
  • Scar tissue healing
  • Postural awareness and alignment practices
  • Energetic anatomy / emotional body and chakra center recalibration
  • Rehabilitation from physical and emotional trauma
  • Life and business coaching through principle embodiment and awareness practices that lead to expanded consciousness in values/beliefs/needs and actionable change
  • Movement therapy
  • Breath work and recovery

She also has attentively studied how to tend to our lighter body as well: using a therapy similar to Reiki, but different in approach. She and her clients have successfully worked through and relieved trigger finger, carpal tunnel syndrome, headaches, hip and shoulder joint issues, whiplash, neck/spine/sacrum pain, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, loss of bladder tone, PMS pain, pelvic bowl and hip dysfunctions, Fibromyalgia, Lymphedema, surgery recovery, scar-tissue reduction, tension from Parkinson’s Disease, Epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, and other nervous system disorders, and face and sinus tension and pain. She has also helped clients become clearer on what is causing “stuckness” in their life by tending to the inter-relation of emotional, physical and energetic issues.

“I feel there is no greater service in my field than to help change the ‘healthcare’ story as it is currently understood. In my practice, I intend not to just simply treat my patients for the symptoms presented to me, but to educate them in the process of recovery and health as well. I feel it is essential to deepen my patients’ awareness of the mind/body relationship so that they can expand their own sense of potential for well-being. I hold a vision of people living fully in a ‘mindful’ existence: appreciating the connectedness between all of us and the psycho/physical states of being; and knowing how the patterns working in these states play a role is shaping their health and their life. To that end, I give each patient my full attention: listening with my ears, eyes, heart and hands. I share with that person anything I discover. Often my clients actively participate during the bodywork session through their own movements, breath and intention. My process to evoke change is through releasing restrictions, toning or relaxing soft tissues, postural corrections, teaching methods of self care and gentle observation that help one pay attention to all states of being and the patterns within them.”

Testimonials

“Working with Nanci is such a delight and a transformational experience. Her love and enthusiasm to support the healing process are shining through her entire work and made me feel safe and cared for, knowing she will help me to find relaxation and healing. She is very well equipped with methods and techniques and knows when and what would work for each session.

She occurred very professional and attentive to any change through the pelvic floor bodywork session, which helped me to relax even more.

Using pelvic therapy we have been able to address issues that I had around my hips and pelvic region for minimum of 30 years. Actually I couldn’t even remember how it would feel to be relaxed in the area of vagina and pelvic floor. This very gentle intimate technique helped me to truly relax muscles when slight pressure and attention were placed there. Even my cold knees and buttocks have better blood flow and feels warmer by just experiencing ONE session with Nanci.

After my pelvic therapy session with Nanci, I felt a huge energetic opening and shift in my personality.   I felt more relaxed, open and easy going. My body adjusted for some couple of days and I enjoyed a better and more restful sleep.   I now have some more “tools” to help myself releasing any tension in the pelvic area because Nanci explained very well and simple enough so I can continue to heal.

I thank Nanci so much for her work, her wisdom that she shares freely and her loving and unconditional support. I totally recommend pelvic therapy and Nanci providing the service. May you be guided and protected, Nanci.  I hope everyone comes to you for support.”

What Nanci’s Clients Say:

“After my first session with Nanci, I told my husband and some close friends that this was the ‘oddest’ but most ‘powerful’ bodywork session I’ve ever had.   In the days that followed that first session, I felt loose, open, relaxed, and noticed a welcome spiritual shift — just from beginning to hold my body differently.  Those feelings continue to deepen as I work with Nanci.   She is a very gifted healer and communicator.  She helps me understand how my body works and how to help myself relax and feel more energy in between sessions.  I’ve been looking for a massage therapist who is intuitive and skilled enough to help me unlock some very old holding patterns, and I have found that person in Nanci.”

— C.S.

“Since I have been working with Nanci, I have noticed a pronounced difference in my posture. Before seeing her, I would hold down and have problems with slouching. Nanci has helped me improve my posture and alignment. She is a wonderful person and I would strongly recommend her to individuals seeking body work, especially musicians and people who use their body in a high performance capacity.”
